After eight years of civil litigation practice, Allen founded the nationally-renowned SuperPrep magazine in June, 1985 and originated SuperPrep.com in August, 1996. Allen continues to publish SuperPrep magazine out of his Laguna Beach home. Lichtenfels played baseball and football in college. He played in the prestigous Johnstown AAABA Baseball league. Lichtenfels was an assistant high school football coach for nine seasons and he also did personnel work and scouting for the now defunct Johnstown Riverhawks Indoor Football team. Lichtenfels has appeared on ESPN's Outside The Lines, NFL Network, Big Ten Network, Comcast and Fox Sports Pittsburgh. He has also been featured in such newspapers as the Washington Post.
